A couple of weeks ago, Tom Thumb rolled out the Just for U program! This program is exciting for many different reasons- I think it will really enhance your Tom Thumb shopping experience. I’ve listed everything you need to know about Just for U and in celebration of the new program, we are giving away a $50 Safeway gift card! (Can be used at Tom Thumb, Randalls, Safeway, or any other Safeway affiliate!) Be sure to check out the end of the post with instructions on how to enter the giveaway.
First and foremost, you need to have a Tom Thumb Rewards Card AND it needs to be registered to TomThumb.com. You will be adding these digital coupons from the website or from the free Tom Thumb app that you can download on your phone. If you happen to use the mobile app, you only have to wait 5 minutes from the time you add your coupons to the time you checkout, which makes it great for on the spot savings while you are grocery shopping.
Coupon Center
The coupon center are digital coupons that everyone will have on their account. Some of these will be manufacturer coupons and some will be store coupons, which include those in-ad coupons in the weekly circular! No need to cut those out (or forget to cut those out 
) anymore.
The coupon above is a manufacturer coupon. You’ll be able to tell it’s a manufacturer coupon because it’s a dollar off amount (Save $0.75) AND it’s only available to use one-time.
The coupon above is an in-ad store coupon. You’ll be able to tell it’s an in-ad store coupon because it’s for a sale price ($2.99) and there’s a limit on how many you can get, just like the paper in-ad coupons.
Personalized Deals
The most exciting part of the Just for U program is that you will get digital coupons customized to what you buy. I was also amazed at the amount of produce, dairy, and bread coupons! Here’s a few examples of the Just for U coupons I had on my account:
These coupons will either be one-time use or unlimited use. If they are unlimited use, you can continue to get the deal/price until the expiration date. The expiration dates vary from 1 week – 4 weeks from what I’ve seen so far. Something you may also notice is that some coupons will have “our regular price” (i.e. banana coupon above) or a competitor’s store price like Target (i.e. Ben & Jerry’s below). This helps you figure out how great the discount is in comparison.
Your Club Specials
These aren’t coupons to load to your card, but it will let you know some prices that are in the store based on items you have previously purchased. Some of these items are not in the weekly ad (unadvertised deals) so it’s nice to check before you make your trip to see if there are any paper coupons you should bring on your trip.
Other Tips
- If you run into a problem you can call the Call Center at 1-877-SAFEWAY
- Just like with other eCoupon programs, you will need to click the ‘add’ button on the personalized deals and coupon center offers in able to get the discount
- You will be able to use ‘price point’ offers and ‘cents off’ offers in the same transaction
- If you have paper and digital coupon for the same product, the register will do the ‘best deal’ and allow you the better option (i.e. $0.50 off paper cereal, $0.50 off cereal eCoupon…the $0.50 off paper will be accepted because it will double)
- You can use a BOGO club price sale with a personalized price for greater savings
