Walgreens Coupon Shopping Trip | Spent $3, Saved $27

What happens when you have $12 in Register Rewards expiring 30 minutes before the store closes for the day? Well, this happens. ;) I thought my RR were expiring on Tuesday or Wednesday of this week, but I was wrong! I guess that’s what happens when you stick them in your wallet instead of putting them in your Coupon Binder.
Even though I was rushing, I still made a plan to buy items I needed or wanted, and I was happy with my trip overall.

Walgreens Leap Day Shopping Trip | Spent $6, Saved $30!

I haven’t shopped at Walgreens in ages! Today I went in to see what I could pick up, and I wanted to only buy items that I needed. I know we often see “FREE” and jump for it, and this week there’s a lot of free deals (after Register Rewards). Instead of trying to get them all, I went for the items my family would definitely use.

If you would like to see an explanation of how I only spent around $6 and saved around $30 on this shopping trip, head over to my YouTube channel!

70% Off Target Toy Clearance Shopping Trip | Spent $105, Saved $360

Last night I wanted to give you guys a quick tip that Target’s semi-annual toy clearance was rumored to start today, and sure enough it did at my local store. If you are in the Dallas area: Denton, Lewisville, and Irving locations had 70% off. If you did some shopping, be sure to let us know which store was marked down!

Everything pictured above was 70% off. Just like with groceries, it’s a great idea to have a small stockpile of toys to save yourself money in the long run. Since I currently have no toys in my “Toy Closet”, I was happy to find some bargains. I’ll use these toys for my daughter’s birthday in 5 months, for Christmas next year, for other kid’s presents, and for donation items.

I actually shopped two stores this morning, but both were fully packed with toys. Here’s a picture of what on of the aisles looked like after I was done with my toy selection:

Be sure to check out my video of this shopping trip on my YouTube channel as well as reasons why you should have a Toy Closet.

Did you do some Target toy clearance shopping? Do you have a “Toy Closet”?

CVS Black Friday Shopping Trip: Spent $3, Saved $100, & Received $16 ECB!

Here’s my Black Friday CVS shopping trip that I did last night at midnight! It includes 30 items, and all of the items are things that I know I’ll use. I say this because CVS has a ton a freebies this year, so if you don’t want to get overwhelmed, look for items you need.

We have the CVS Black Friday Coupon Matchups for you as well as Rite Aid, Walgreens, and 40+ other stores on the Black Friday Ads page, so be sure to check it out to get your deals.

I did 5 transactions that I planned out right before I left and everything went smoothly. I spent a grand total of $3.38 out of pocket and saved $100! I still have $16.58 ECB to spend later, which I’ll probably use towards stocking stuffers or other small gifts.

CVS & Tom Thumb Shopping Trip, Saved $26.02

I went to CVS and Tom Thumb yesterday to pick up a few items. On a totally related but unrelated side note, I feel like getting a great deal is only great if you are truly looking at the bigger picture. How much time did you spend driving to the store to pick up that deal?  How much gas did you burn up to get there? How frequently are you leaving to go get deals? Everyone coupons differently, and I respect that. I just personally feel like driving 30 miles for a few freebies that are only $0.99 at regular price is truly not a deal for you at all. ;) Off my soapbox and onto the deals…
